The HALT Program is a legacy project dedicated to our beloved Hannah and her treasured children, Aaliyah, Laianah, and Trey.
This program provides a research-based, age-appropriate approach, to respectful relationships education for students in years 7 to 12. Through the facilitation of interactive conversations, this program supports young people to explore what safety means for their community, so they can collectively build the path toward it. These robust conversations acknowledge the hurdles young people may encounter, while providing practical skills to overcome them.
Although the HALT program is dedicated to Hannah and her children, it does not explore the details of their case. Instead, it focuses on the virtues of who they were as people, by encouraging young people to embrace empathy, courage, resilience, and connection.
This ensures a safe future for all people.
This future, is their legacy… the HALT Legacy.
Dave Kramer is officially a Behavioural Scientist, but was also a close friend to Hannah and loved like an uncle, by our three littlest angels. Since their tragic deaths, Dave has dedicated his life to empowering all people to contribute to community safety through keynote speaking engagements and education. As a sought after speaker, he brings a unique blend of honesty, personal narrative, and evidence-based violence prevention research, to address critical issues such as masculinity, gender-based violence prevention, and respectful relationships.
Driven by the legacy of Hannah and her children, and his belief that young people have unacknowledged potential as the champions of safe and equal relationships, Dave pioneered the HALT Program. His heartfelt message of community connection invites all people to be part of the HALT Legacy by cultivating a culture of safety and respect.
